My teaching statement
Early in college I went through a major crisis produced by the lack of skills from a lot of my teachers, being enrolled in a college endorsed by highly respected firms and organizations like QS and South American College Association motivated me to ask why. I quickly experienced big pain as I was not able to use my skills to do what I wanted, I was dissapointed and had little tools to enhance my skills. Then the feeling came to me that I could do way better over this cience. My father with more than 40 years of professional teaching experience and other family members who within the country dedicated their lives making that little change that encourages and lead the world in a different direction made me realize that I had more than skills to perform with people and help improve our society, which is at a very delicate and damaged state right now where I live. With their support and having them as a starter I took the very first seminar to begin my preparation and develop my teaching skills.
As if I were just expecting it, on July 2009 I got a call from the high school principal over one of the most innovative and important young universities in the country with an amazing opportunity to start my path into teaching on high school 3rd semester students. Later on I quickly began to show an outstanding performance and sympathy from my students and colleagues that I got a proposal to move to the professional division and expand my portfolio.
Technology made it simple and fun. Having more time to spend with my students sharing my experience that commenced early in my life rather than spend time grading, reviewing and redesigning materials. But there is a big thing here, as I walked around other universities I began to realize how things can be different by just looking around the world. A more complex philosophy started to be part of my life by joining together my professional experience that commenced very early in my life, my academic background around multiple disciplines, mentors and colleagues.
Now with 14 years of teaching experience I am landing a deep understanding of the connection between a student and a teacher, including the gratitude from students, parents and many accomplishments like my own development of a new digital multimedia experience in where my tests are now alive and are not just a piece of paper for them. I use current proactive technology to prevent plagiarism and a better acquaintance of any course materials.
I will always be in gratitude with the people who has been supporting my teaching experience. I will continue to research and develop new skills to make for others what I wanted as a student, including to be happy, to enjoy school, to work over skills and doing what I am good at, loving my teachers and respecting them because they are professionals and happy with it. My primary objective is to deliver this society with something I did not had or had very little. Although my primary work may sometimes interrupt my teaching experience I will always bring some time together for anybody or any institution or college who invite me to share my expertise and experience. As always I have the highest expectations from my students and I hope to see future professionals happy with their lives and why not? Become colleagues around.
